PPU counsels Zárate Verástegui on purchase in Colegios Futura
PPU Peru has assisted Grupo Zárate Verástegui on the purchase of a majority stake in Colegios Proeduca S.A.
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Peru has counselled Grupo Zarate Verastegui on the acquisition of a majority stake in Colegios Proeduca S.A., one of a modern network of high quality schools (10 schools in 6 regions) in Peru, under the brand “Colegios Futura”.
The transaction included the negotiation of a share agreement, the revision and adherence to an existing shareholders’ agreement, as well as reaching an agreement with the majority shareholders of the company for the repayment of a subordinated loan, and for the repayment of the bonds issued under a convertible bond programme in 2020.
Payet Rey Cauvi Perez also participated in the transaction.
Grupo Zarate Verastegui is a Peruvian private equity group with significant holdings in the education sector.
