Four lawyers join as associates to Alcogal

Victoria Castro, Rafael Amar, Ana Gabriela Santiago and Kimberly Guerra join the firm Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee

 Panamanian law firm Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee (Alcogal) has announced the appointment of Victoria Castro, Rafael Amar, Ana Gabriela Santiago and Kimberly Guerra as junior associates of the firm.

Victoria Castro joins the firm’s Tax and Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering practices; Rafael Amar joins the Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate and M&A practices; and Ana Gabriela Santiago and Kimberly Guerra join the Litigation and Arbitration practice.

Victoria Castro (pictured top left) holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua, a Master’s degree in Fiscal Management and a Specialisation in Taxation from the Universidad Especializada del Contador Público Autorizado. Previously, she was head of Information Exchange and head of International Tax Strategy at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Rafael Amar (pictured top right) holds a Law degree from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua and an LL.M in Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law from Duke University. Before joining the firm, he was a paralegal at Marre & Alvarez Abogados.

Ana Gabriela Santiago (pictured bottom left) holds a degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua, a specialization in Employment Law from the same university, and an LL.M. from Northwestern University Pritzker. She worked as an intern at Morgan & Morgan, paralegal at Carreira Pitti P.C. and FACA Law, as well as an associate at Paredes & Asociados.

Kimberly Guerra (pictured bottom right) holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama. She joined the firm in 2015 as a Legal Manager.
