PPU designates new Public Law director

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has announced the reinstatement of Angie Umezawa (pictured) as counsel, who joins to lead the Public Law practice in the Lima office.

Angie has extensive experience in administrative and regulatory matters, having held positions in important public sector institutions. Within her expertise, she has advised clients from different sectors in administrative processes to obtain the necessary licenses and permits (at municipal, provincial and national level) for the operation of their facilities. In addition, she is a specialist in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and G2G (Governments to Governments). Her professional practice focuses on advising local and foreign private sector clients on the design and structuring of private investment promotion processes, PPPs and private initiatives related to infrastructure projects.

Within her professional career, she has worked as counsel in the Projects and Infrastructure area at Dentons Peru, as well as partner in charge of the Public Law area at Sumara Hub Legal. She was also advisor to the Presidency and technical secretary of the Board of Directors of the Supervisory Body of Investment in Energy and Mining (OSINERGMIN) and was senior associate of the Infrastructure and Projects area at PPU and Delmar Ugarte Abogados. Angie was Legal Analyst at the Management of Business Relations of the Supervisory Body of Private Investment in Telecommunications.
