PPU instructed on Odinsa exit from port operator in Santa Marta

The Bogota office of Philipi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría advised Puerto Las Américas on the acquisition of several companies owned by Odinsa.

Odinsa is a Colombian construction and infrastructure development company, part of Grupo Argos. The transaction is part of Odinsa´s change of strategy to focus on airport and road infrastructure.

The deal, of undisclosed value, gives Puerto Las Américas indirect control over a 12% of Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Santa Marta, the port operator formerly owned by Odinsa.

Mitsubishi owns a minority stake in Puerto Las Americas which is controlled by Grupo Daabon.
