PRCP advises FCC Aqualia on wastewater treatment project
Peruvian law firm Payet Rey Cuavi Pérez Abogados has advised Spanish company FCC Aqualia on the award of the Chincha Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTAR Chincha) project.
The $96.5 million project involves the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant for 24 years, benefiting 345,000 residents in seven districts of Chincha province, south of Lima.
The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project includes the installation of 21 kilometers of main networks and pumping lines, a pumping station, two treatment plants with a total capacity of 0.6 cubic meters per second, and 7.7 kilometers of lines for final disposal of treated water.
These works aim to reduce pollution, protect local ecosystems, and improve the population’s quality of life by decreasing the incidence of diseases related to inadequate wastewater management.
This project positions FCC Aqualia as a key player in advancing sustainable infrastructure in Peru.
FCC Aqualia has experience in the sanitation sector and operates in 17 countries besides Peru: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Chile, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States, France, Georgia, Italy, Mexico, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Czech Republic, and Romania.
