RAD appoints Sergio Mattos as partner
Rebaza Alcázar & De las Casas has announced the promotion of Sergio Mattos (pictured) as a new partner in the White-Collar Crime and Internal Investigations practice area.
One of the firm’s senior partners and leader of the White-Collar Crime and Internal Investigations and Compliance practice areas, Augusto Loli, commented: “Sergio brings together the best characteristics of the modern-day criminal lawyer. Not only does he have a solid background in the dogmatic and procedural aspects of criminal law, but his time in London has familiarized him with the topic of criminal liability of legal entities and all the tools linked to it. The consolidated relationship that our firm has with clients and international law firms and our intervention in multiple relevant cases has allowed him to acquire exceptional expertise.”
Sergio obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.), with a specialisation in Criminal Law, from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (Chevening Scholarship). He is a lawyer from the Universidad de San Martín de Porres. He has a Master’s degree in Criminal Law from the University of Seville, as well as completed doctoral studies at the same university. He obtained the compliance certification “Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional-International (CCEP-I)”, granted by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB).
Sergio has also been a professor of General Criminal Law and Economic Criminal Law at the University of Lima, ESAN University and the Scientific University of the South, as well as a speaker at various academic and professional events at national and international level. In addition, he has several publications on Criminal Law.
