Rebaza Alcazar assists GCS Energy in purchase of GM Operations Notes

Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas has assisted GCS Energy Investments in the purchase of private notes issued by GM Operaciones, a Peruvian subsidiary of Grupo Albanesi (Argentina).

This transaction was closed on 14 November, where Gibson Dunn & Crutcher acted as New York counsel to the purchaser. GM Operaciones was advised by Garrigues and Estudio Muñiz in Peru, and by Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York.

The proceeds of the private placement of the Notes are intended to financially assist Grupo Albanesi in its expansion in Peru, as the company will use the credit facility in connection with the operation of a cogeneration plant in Peru.

Marc Zelina and Danielle Villoch acted as in-house counsels to GCS Energy.

Garrigues’ team consisted of partner Thomas Thorndike and associate Monica Yrrarazabal.

Estudio Muñiz was represented by partner Juan Carlos Veléz.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom comprised partner Alejandro González Lazzeri, associate Jenny Ferron and international lawyer Facundo Manuel González Bustamante.

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s team included partner Tomer Pinkusiewicz and associate José Antonio Onandia.
