Rebaza Alcázar assists in sale of Termochilca
Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas has assisted the shareholders of Termochilca in the sale of all their shares, as well as their claims, against financial creditors, in favour of Compañía Eléctrica El Platanal (CELEPSA).
This transaction was signed on 19 January 2023 for a value of US$141 million, with Payet Rey Cauvi Pérez acting as advisor to Termochilca.
The closing of the transaction remains subject to obtaining prior merger control clearance from INDECOPI.
Termochilca is engaged in the generation and commercialisation of electricity. It has a combined cycle thermal power plant located in the district of Chilca, province of Cañete, with an installed capacity of 300 MW.
CELEPSA, part of the Unacem Group, has 2 hydroelectric power plants, located respectively in the provinces of Yayuos and Cañete with a capacity of 220 MW and in Huamalies for the development of 19.4 MW of power.
