Ritch Mueller promotes two new partners

Ritch Mueller has announced the appointment of Gabriel E. Torres Escoto and Eric Silberstein Lerner as new partners of the firm effective 1 January 2023.

Gabriel (pictured left) joined the firm in 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience in structuring and implementing real estate projects, with a focus on portfolio acquisitions, development partnerships, development and construction, the hotel industry and private equity fund formation. He also advises Mexican and international financial institutions on bridge and long-term financings, as well as on the structuring of security packages mainly on real estate assets. He also worked as a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. He holds a law degree from Universidad La Salle and a postgraduate degree in M&A from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Eric (pictured right) joined the firm in 2016. He has more than a decade of experience advising buyers, private equity funds, sellers and financial advisors on acquisitions of financial institutions and companies in various sectors. In banking matters, he has advised debtors and creditors in the structuring, negotiation and implementation of structured financings. He advises issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of securities, including corporate bonds and equity offerings, both in Mexico and in the United States, with special emphasis on Tier 1 and Tier 2 securities offerings. He served as a foreign associate at Dechert in New York and is now a member of the New York Bar since 2013. He graduated as a lawyer from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and obtained an LL.M from Cornell University.
