Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano announced new transfer pricing initiative

Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano, the Peruvian law firm, announced the launch of +Value Precios de Transferencia, a new company in alliance with transfer pricing expert Tania Quispe Mansilla.

The new company, which will work closely with the tax department at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano, aims to offer a unique blend of transfer pricing expertise and legal services. The team includes professionals with background in both the public and private sectors, and deep understanding of local and international requirements for transactions subject to transfer pricing regulation.

Tania Quispe Mansilla holds a BA and a masters’ degree in economics and her experience in the sector includes developing the transfer pricing department of one of the Big Four in Peru. From 2011 to 2017, Quispe was head of the Peruvian Tax Authority (SUNAT) and after that role, she took on a position as Peruvian and Chilean Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC.

“Transfer pricing is becoming pivotal for local and international clients. Peru is currently implementing the OCDE’S BEPS recommendations and subsequently, new regulations are being put in place. On the other hand, SUNAT, the Peruvian Tax Authority, has put together a transfer pricing control department, which forces taxpayers to plan ahead their transactions very carefully, requiring highly specialized advice from both ends, economic and legal, to avoid defaulting any regulations and to adequately face tax audits and tax procedures. The aim of +Value working together with our firm is to provide our clients with peace of mind and ease, that all legal angles are being taken care of, so they can focus on their business.” said Luis Carlos Rodrigo, managing partner of the firm.
