Rolim Goulart Cardoso announces seven new partners

Rolim Goulart Cardoso Advogados announced the promotion of six new partners and the hiring of a new partner, thus reinforcing its tax law, corporate litigation and corporate areas, in addition to creating the new government relations area.

The firm promoted the coordinators Manuela Britto Mattos (pictured top left) and Tadeu Negromonte de Moura (pictured top center-left), in the tax Litigation area, Edgar Junqueira Freire (pictured top center-right), in tax consulting, Patrícia Piló Bittencourt Redig (pictured top right) and Luis Felipe Bernardes Sá Teles (pictured bottom left), in business litigation, and Alessandra Torres (pictured bottom center), in the corporate and M&A area.

In government relations, the firm announced the hiring of Ariene Diniz e Amaral (pictured bottom right), who will reinforce the team of the office in Brasília, focusing on the search for solutions adherent to the clients’ business with the Federal Executive and Legislative Power.

With this, the office now has a total of 21 partners.

Alessandra Torres, from the Corporate and M&A area, holds an MBA in Business Management for the Electric Sector from Faculdade Fisul and a postgraduate degree in Finance from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC-MG). She is recognized for her work in complex mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and sophisticated corporate structuring, legal opinions and corporate planning.

Ariene Diniz e Amaral holds a master’s degree in Law and Public Policy from Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB) and worked as a lawyer and public policy specialist at the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) for almost 10 years, working directly on legislative agendas in the National Congress, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Revenue Service.

Edgar Junqueira Freire advises companies and individuals on tax restructuring and efficiency under the terms of legislation and case law, including acting in administrative tax proceedings. He holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies (IBET) and in Theory and Practice of Tax Planning from the Paulista Association of Tax Studies (APET).

Luis Felipe Bernardes Sá Teles, in turn, works in the area of Corporate and Regulatory Litigation, with emphasis on issues related to the electricity sector, consumer law and strategic civil cases. He holds a postgraduate degree in Energy Law from the Center for Studies in Law and Business (CEDIN) and in Civil Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

Manuela Britto Mattos holds a master’s degree in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a postgraduate degree in the same area from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). She has experience in administrative and judicial proceedings in relation to federal, state and municipal taxes.

Patrícia Piló Bittencourt Redig holds an LL.M. in intellectual property from Michigan State University and has experience in civil consulting related to motor vehicle distribution contracts, acting in several lawsuits on the matter.

Tadeu Negromonte de Moura holds a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC-MG) and in Applied Corporate Law from the same institute. His practice focuses on judicial and administrative litigation related to federal, state and municipal taxes, as well as customs and social security disputes.
