Roselló assists ProInversión in railway modernisation bidding process

Roselló Abogados has assisted ProInversión Perú in the international bidding process for the modernisation of the Huancayo – Huancavelica Railway Project (known as Tren Macho).

The company announced that the project has 9 companies interested in participating. The estimated minimum investment amount is USD 263 MM.

The Huancayo-Huancavelica Railway, which has been in operation since 1926, has 128.7 km of track, 7 stations, 20 stops, 15 bridges and 38 tunnels.

With this modernisation project, the railway will have a renovated infrastructure, with new rolling stock and a signalling and control system, which will guarantee a safe, efficient and comfortable transport system for users. In addition, a new repair and maintenance workshop will be built, a drainage system, the slopes will be protected and stabilised, which will lead to the renovation of the superstructure of the railway, as well as the maintenance during the 30 years of the concession.
