Ruzene Advogados marks 10 years with expansion

Ruzene Advogados, a law firm based in São Paulo state, is marking ten years of operation with an institutional rebrand and the addition of two new practice areas: Real Estate Law and Asset Protection and Succession. The firm, originally founded with a focus on tax law, said the expansion reflects a decade-long shift toward broader corporate advisory work.

Founded with a concentration on Tax Law, the firm says it has spent the past decade building out a corporate practice that now covers Corporate Restructuring, Judicial Recovery (Reestruturação Empresarial and Recuperação Judicial), Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), and corporate governance. The addition of Real Estate Law and Asset Protection and Succession is intended to let the firm handle wealth protection, succession planning and real estate investment structuring alongside its existing corporate and M&A work.

The firm’s practice is split between its two partners. Marco Antônio Ruzene leads the tax practice, working on tax planning, high-complexity litigation, the Brazilian Tax Reform, M&A and structured transactions, drawing on more than 33 years of experience in legal entrepreneurship and strategic management.

Andréa Navarro is responsible for Corporate Restructuring, Capital Markets and Judicial Recovery, working on transactions involving investment funds, distressed assets, private equity, structured credit and corporate governance.

The rebrand accompanies the firm’s expansion and is intended to reflect values the firm says have guided its work, including ethics, transparency, client proximity and technical rigor. The repositioning is also aimed at strengthening the firm’s presence in the interior of São Paulo state, particularly the Campinas metropolitan region, while extending its national visibility through client and partner relationship initiatives and engagement with specialized media.
