Simpson Thacher and TozziniFreire instructed on exchange offers by Gol

JP Morgan acted as dealer manager in a series of exchange offers by Gol LuxCo, a subsidiary of  Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes.  The bank instructed TozziniFreire and Simpson Thacher as Brazilian and US counsel, respectively. 

Gol is the largest low-cost carrier in Latin America and one of the largest in the world. It is headquartered in Sao Paulo and listed in the NYSE.

Partners John C Ericson and Grenfel S Calheiros led the Simpson Thacher team providing US counsel to JP Morgan. The bank instructed TozziniFreire as Brazilian counsel with partners Alexei Bonamin and Kenneth Ferreira at the helm. 

Gol, the issuer and guarantors retained Milbank and Mattos Filho, for US and Brazilian law matters, respectively.
