Simpson Thacher instructed on CGC’s $300 million high yield debt offering

Simpson Thacher & Bartlet advised Argentinean energy company Compañía General de Combustibles (CGC) on a $300 million offering of 9.5% Senior Notes due 2021. 

The offering was CGC’s inaugural high yield bond offering in the international capital markets and was conducted in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933.

CGC is part of the Corporación América conglomerate group and focuses on the exploration, development and production of natural gas and crude oil in the Patagonia.

Partners David Williams and Juan Francisco Méndez led the Simpson Thacher acting for CGC.
