Simpson Thacher instructed on debt offering by Peruvian power company
Simpson Thacher advised Credit Suisse Securities, Credicorp Capital, Morgan Stanley and Scotia Capital as initial purchasers in the $350 Million debt offering.
Kallpa Generación is one of the largest power generation companies in Peru in terms of installed capacity. It is a subsidiary of Inkia Energy, a Latin American power facility owner and operator.
Partner Juan Francisco Méndez led the Simpson Thacher advising the initial purchasers, which retained Garrigues as Peruvian counsel. Alston & Bird advised the trustee.
The issuer, Kallpa Generación, worked with Shearman and Sterling in the US and Miranda & Amado in Peru.
