Tauil & Chequer adds restructuring partner

Tauil & Chequer Advogados (T&C), in association with Mayer Brown, announced that Liv Machado Fallet (pictured) joined the firm as a partner in the restructuring practice.  She joins from TozziniFreire Advogados.

Ms. Machado has more than 13 years of experience in restructuring and judicial reorganization, and counsels local and foreign clients in credit restructuring, judicial reorganization cases, as well as in out-of-court and insolvency proceedings. She also advises investors in the acquisition of distressed assets, companies in financial distress and debt restructuring.

She graduated in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, where she also earned a Masters and a specialization in Corporate Law. In addition, she completed the Global Insolvency Practice Course by INSOL International. She is an active member of the Latin America Committee of INSOL, Chair of IWIRC (International Women’s insolvency & Restructuring Confederation) Brazil and coordinator of the Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization Committee of IBRADEMP (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Law).
