Tauil & Chequer Advogados assists Weclix Telecom in its 1st debenture issue

Tauil & Chequer Advogados associated with Mayer Brown advised Weclix, a company active in the supply of fiber optic internet, in its 1st issue of simple debentures, in the total amount of R$ 200 million. The public offering was distributed and placed by Banco Modal (leading coordinator) and Banco BTG Pactual (coordinator) wich was advised by Pinheiro Guimarães Advogados.

The debentures count with the benefits foreseen in Art. 2 of Law 12.431 (debentures incentivized for infrastructure) and the net resources obtained with the issue of the debentures will be destined to investments in telecommunications network infrastructure, according to the priority project approved by the Ministry of Communications.

The T&C team that worked on the issue and the request for the ministerial order with the Ministry of Communications was led by the Banking and Finance and Infrastructure partners Luis Montes (pictured top left) and Bruno Dario Werneck (pictured top right), as well as associates Maria Isabel Amato and Thatiana Siqueira.
