Telemundo´s former legal affairs chief joins Bilzin Sumberg
Miami law firm Bilzin Sumberg announced that Jose Sariego has joined their corporate practice group as as partner.
Sariego has over 25 years of experience in US and international media, entertainment and transactional law. He has negotiated multi-million dollar licensing, distribution and other deals in the United States and Latin America.
Sariego joins the firm from Telemundo where he was senior vice president of business and legal affairs. Prior to that role he was senior vice president and general counsel at HBO Latin America. Earlier in his career, he served as senior vice president and general counsel for Mastec, the NYSE-listed international telecommunications contractor.
He is also an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at the University of Miami Law School and was an Adjunct Professor of Media Business Law at Miami International University.
