Three firms on acquisition of shares of Eucatex by BTG Pactual
Pinheiro Neto advised Economico Agro-Pastorial, a subsidiary of BTG Pactual, on the acquisition of 13% of the total capital of Eucatex Indústria e Comércio in common shares and approximately 38% of the Company’s capital in preferred shares.
Candido Martins Advogados and Diamantino Advogados Associados represented Eucatex.
The deal aims also at closing a long dispute involving the company, its controlling shareholders, São Paulo City Hall and the Prosecutors Office, because of acts alleged practiced by certain controlling shareholders of the Company. As a consequence of the deal, a significant portion of the purchase price will be paid to the City Hall.
