TozziniFreire advises Yokohama on the acquisition of Trelleborg

TozziniFreire Advogados advised Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. in the acquisition of Trelleborg Wheel Systems

TozziniFreire Advogados was responsible for the Brazilian legal advice in connection with the global acquisition of the entire wheel systems business of the Swedish company Trelleborg AB by Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd.

The transaction is to be carried out through the purchase of 100% of the shares in Trelleborg Wheel Systems Holding AB (‘TWS’) from Trelleborg AB. The acquisition of Trelleborg Wheel Systems will allow Yokohama Rubber Company to consolidate its leading position among tire manufacturers worldwide, becoming a global leader in the off-road segment covering different market needs in the agricultural, construction, material handling, mining and 2-wheel market segments with the addition of the Trelleborg, Mitas, Maximo, Cultor and Interfit brands to its portfolio.
