Trench Rossi advises AXA on acquisition of a stake in Mombak

Trench Rossi Watanabe has advised French investment fund AXA on the acquisition of a minority stake in carbon removal company Mombak, which works on reforestation projects in the Amazon.

The BRL 235 million contribution aims to expand the operations and technology of the Brazilian startup, which will lead projects to reforest degraded pastures to generate carbon credits.

The firm was joined by lead partner Maurício Pacheco (pictured), partners Evaristo Lucena, Renata Amaral and associates Fernando Bammann, Manuela Demarche.
