Trench Rossi Watanabe advises NFL on historic game in Brazil
Trench Rossi Watanabe advised the National Football League (NFL) on the agreement with Corinthians and the São Paulo City Hall that will bring a regular season game of the North American league to the Neo Química Arena stadium in September 2024. It will be the North American league’s first game in South America.
The league had the support of a team of lawyers from various areas, who worked on the corporate and tax structuring of the investment in the event; the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts with third parties; the enforcement of broadcasting rights and protection of the NFL’s intellectual property rights; the application and compliance with regulatory laws applicable to public sporting events; the drafting and negotiation of contracts; and the coordination of the stages related to the incorporation of the Brazilian entity.
