Trench Rossi Watanabe announces six new partners

Trench Rossi Watanabe has announced that Bruno Duarte, Evaristo Lucena, Felipe Zaltman, Marcel Fracarolli Nunes, Silvia Bernardino and Telirio Saraiva (pictured from left to right) have been promoted to partners of the firm.

The partnership of the Corporate & Finance group now has the reinforcement of Evaristo Lucena, Marcel Fracarolli Nunes and Silvia Bernardino. The three are responsible, respectively, for activities related to capital markets; contracts and real estate; and mergers and acquisitions, a move that is in line with the growth of the firm’s transactional practices.
Telirio Saraiva reinforces the Tax team, the largest area of the firm, where he focuses on litigation; Felipe Zaltman has been appointed to Technology and Intellectual Property, another growing area; and Bruno Duarte is the new partner of the traditional Public Law, Regulatory and Infrastructure group. All of them were already associates of the firm.

With the promotions, the firm now has 52 lawyers in its partnership. Meet the new partners:

Bruno Alves Duarte is a specialist in infrastructure projects, public law, regulatory, and governmental affairs. He advises clients in consultations, disputes, negotiations, and transactions related to various industries, infrastructure projects, and cases involving public entities and regulatory agencies. He holds a law degree from the University of Brasília and a master’s degree in Legal and Political Sciences, with a mention in Constitutional Law from the University of Coimbra (2012).

Evaristo Lucena specializes in corporate law and capital markets. He represents issuers, shareholders and financial institutions in transactions involving structuring, registration and listing of companies with regulatory agencies and stock exchanges, in addition to acting in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Lucena holds a law degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a Masters of Law from Duke University School of Law, in the United States.

Felipe Zaltman has experience advising clients in legal disputes involving patents, unfair competition, trade secrets, and trademarks. He also acts in strategic litigation of information technology and data privacy. He holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master in Civil Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro and an LL.M. in Law and Economics from the European Masters (Universities of Rotterdam, Ghent and Bologna).

Marcel Fracarolli Nunes has extensive experience in providing legal advice to clients dealing with real estate transactions in several varieties, but especially construction, commercial and industrial leases, rural developments, retail, hospitality and large infrastructure projects. He has a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a specialization in contract law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.

Silvia Bernardino de Gouveia has solid experience in advising local and foreign clients, acting in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and corporate work. She holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, with masters of law in M&A and corporate law from Cornell University in the United States.

Telírio Pinto Saraiva specializes in federal tax litigation and tax consulting. He works in corporate restructuring projects, tax audits, legal opinions, due diligence, tax benefits review, tax planning, strategic administrative tax litigation and wealth management. He holds a master’s degree in tax law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
