Trench Rossi Watanabe opens Faria Lima office
Trench Rossi Watanabe has opened a new office at Salma Tower, on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima in São Paulo, as part of a strategic expansion that also includes the modernisation of its existing unit at EZ Towers on Avenida Dr. Chucri Zaidan. The firm began operating from the Faria Lima location in April 2026, housing its Corporate & Finance and Tax law teams.
The move positions Trench Rossi Watanabe as the only large law firm in São Paulo to operate two full-service platforms in the city — as opposed to the satellite meeting rooms or support hubs adopted by other market players. The Faria Lima office places the firm at the heart of the city’s financial district, in proximity to financial institutions, investment funds, fintechs and listed companies. The EZ Towers unit, where the firm has been based for 27 years, retains the teams covering Antitrust, International Trade, Compliance, Civil Litigation, Public Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property, Technology and Data Privacy, and Employment, continuing to serve a client base of multinationals, technology companies, pharmaceutical firms and Asian-origin corporations.
The new Faria Lima space occupies the second floor of Salma Tower, covering 885 square metres with 84 workstations. The architectural project, developed by Zien Arquitetura, was managed by CBRE and built by Saeng Engenharia. The design prioritises flexible formats, open-plan areas, hot-desking and collaborative zones, while a central concept integrates the building’s external green space into the interior through vegetation, timber and contemporary architectural solutions.
In parallel, the firm carried out a renovation of its EZ Towers unit, also coordinated by CBRE and Zien Arquitetura, with construction executed by B5. The works maintained conceptual coherence between the two locations and included layout updates, expanded collaborative areas, new interior design and enhanced technological integration. A new Workcafé was created as part of the refurbishment, designed for multiple uses and different working and social dynamics.
According to the firm, the expansion reflects a decade-long strategy centred on the growth of its transactional practices and the lateral hiring of new partners. The dual-location model is also presented as a response to the return of in-person working, allowing the firm to balance client proximity, operational efficiency and quality of life for its staff — particularly given that part of the team is based in the Berrini area while another portion is closer to the financial centre.
Managing partner Simone Dias Musa commented that the new Faria Lima unit broadens the firm’s presence in a region central to Brazil’s business environment, while preserving team integration, technical standards and the firm’s international profile.
