Two firms act on acquisition by Itaú Unibanco

Machado Meyer advised the buyer, Stocche Forbes advised the seller (Engie group) on the filing with CADE of the acquisition of a 49.99% interest in Maracanã Geração de Energia e Participações by Itaú Unibanco, through the subscription of all preferred shares to be issued by Maracanã until the closing date of the transaction.

This case was unconditionally approved by CADE’s General Superintendence within 13 days from the filing date.
