Two firms advise on the acquisition of YPF by Usiquímica
Bichara Advogados advised the buyers and Arap Nishi & Uyeda Advogados the sellers on a transaction involving the acquisition of the Brazilian operations of YPF by Usiquímica.
The transaction foresees the acquisition of 100% of YPF’s operations in Brazil, which involves the lubricant oil production plant, as well as a trademark licensing agreement for production and marketing of YPF lubricants in all Brazilian territory.
Bichara Avogados advised Usiquímica on the M&A process, tax structuring, and regulatory aspects. The case was led by partner Luiz Henrique Vieira (pictured left), Thiago de Mattos Marques, Luciana Maciel, Ricardo Sassi, Luna Schioser, Gabriel Dompieri and Isabela Lopes.
