Banks of China

Two firms advise on the merger of two Chinese banks

Pinheiro Neto advised by Bank of China Limited (BOC) on the acquisition control of China Construction Bank (Brazil) Banco Múltiplo (CCB) which was advised by TozziniFreire Advogados.

The operation, which was subject to approval by the Central Bank and CADE, consolidates BOC’s presence in the Brazilian financial market, enabling, according to BOC, the expansion of the flow of operations between Brazil and China.

Pinheiro Neto Advogados advised Bank of China Limited and relied on partner Raphael Palmieri Salomão (pictured left) and associate Antonio de Paula Siqueira Filho.

TozziniFreire advised China Construction Bank (Brazil) and relied on partners Marcela Ejnisman (pictured center-left), Beatriz Seixas (pictured center-right) and Marcus Fonseca (pictured right); associates Cauê Jorge de Almeida, Luis Felipe Bueno Sima, and Barbara Queiroz.
