VEI counsels Regcheq on $2m investment round
Villarino & Ilharreborde has counselled Regcheq, a compliance SaaS from Chile, on the closing of a USD $2 million investment round.
The round was led by Taram Capital, with Consorcio and Grupo Sable also participating in the round. This transaction was completed on July 10.
This investment is intended to continue the company’s growth in Brazil and for its recent landing in Mexico. In addition, in conjunction with the investment round, Regcheq acquired Mexican compliance firm UBCubo.
Other participating firms were Ritch Mueller as advisor to Regcheq in Mexico, ACU Abogados as advisor to Taram Capital, Barros & Errazuriz as advisor to Consorcio, and Calderon y De La Sierra as advisor to UBCubo. B&E advised Consorcio in connection with its participation in the financing round process and its investment of US$552.588 in Regcheq, which was consummated by means of a convertible note.
Regcheq provides technologic solutions for the digitalization, automation and centralization of the management of the entire compliance process and the mitigation of non-financial risks of companies. The SaaS offers its clients the ability to enter transactions and monitor the evaluated profiles online. In addition, it generates reports and notifications for status changes and/or suspicious transaction detection. Now, it is focused on continuing its development for the recently integrated markets in its portfolio.
