Veirano Advogados announced three new partners, all promoted from its associate rankings: Bruno Leandro Palhares Perez (pictured center)- Labor & Employment, São Paulo; Diego Yago Rodrigues (pictured left)- Corporate & Mergers and Acquisitions, São Paulo and Maria Cecilia Vieira (pictured right)- Corporate & Mergers and Acquisitions, Rio de Janeiro.
Bruno Leandro Palhares Perez is a member of the Labor & Employment practice in the São Paulo office, with 12 years of outstanding experience in the various litigation and consulting spheres of corporate labor law, especially in strategic litigation, collective actions and public civil actions. With a Master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 2016, Bruno obtained an LL.M. in 2019 from the New York University (NYU) School of Law. Bruno worked for a year as a foreign attorney at Kobre & Kim in New York. He joined Veirano as an associate in 2013.
Part of the Corporate & Mergers and Acquisitions team in the São Paulo office, Diego Yago Rodrigues has over 11 years of experience focused on M&A transactions, green field projects, asset sale and purchase, divestments, corporate restructuring and general corporate and contractual matters. Recognized by The Legal 500 Latin America in Corporate and M&A, Diego obtained an LL.M. in Corporate Law in 2017 from Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (INSPER). He joined Veirano as an associate in 2013.
Maria Cecilia Vieira is a member of the Corporate & Mergers and Acquisitions team in the Rio de Janeiro office, with over 11 years of outstanding experience in M&A transactions in various sectors, corporate restructurings and contractual and corporate matters in general. Maria Cecilia obtained an LL.M. (with distinction) in Corporate & Commercial Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2018 and, throughout 2019, she worked in Paris as an International Legal Counsel for the multinational health sector group Orpea, where she was responsible for the group’s M&A transactions in Latin America, Portugal and Spain. Maria Cecilia is also a Corporate Law and Capital Markets specialist from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-Rio). She joined Veirano as an associate in 2013.
