Veirano and TozziniFreire act in acquisition of Riacho da Serra by Exus
Veirano Advogados advised Exus Brasil; TozziniFreire advised Riacho da Serra Energia. The transaction was acquisition of 100% of the control of Riacho da Serra Energia. The target company holds 20 solar parks in the State of Piauí, which will have a total installed capacity exceeding 1GW, already granted by ANEEL.
The development will represent a landmark in the country, creating around 2,500 direct and indirect jobs, and bringing development to the communities involved, with power to 950,000 homes with clean energy, while reducing approximately 1 million tons in CO2 emissions. The completion of the transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions precedent.
