Wald strengthens civil and environmental areas

Wald, Antunes, Vita e Blattner Advogados has announced the arrival of its new partner, Patrícia Iglecias (pictured), to strengthen its civil and environmental practice areas.

Patrícia brings with her more than 30 years of expertise, marked by her commitment to the socio-environmental agenda. She has worked in the private and public sectors. In the latter, she has held important leadership and management positions, as Secretary of the Environment of São Paulo and, more recently, at Cetesb, where she was the first and only woman to chair the company. A professor of civil law at USP’s Law School, Patrícia is also superintendent of Environmental Management at the university’s dean’s office.

She was awarded the Outstanding Sustainability Award – WOCA – in tribute and recognition for her career in environmental management and her work in the UN Global Compact Cities program, GCSM (Global Council of Sales Marketing); in Brazil, she received the San Tiago Dantas Medal in the category Jurist of the Environment and Sustainability Area.

Also joining the firm is attorney Caroline Marques Leal Jorge Santos, Master and PhD candidate in Civil Law at USP Law School. She was Chief of Staff at CETESB, advisor to the Secretary of Environment of São Paulo, holder of the Technical Chamber of Legal Affairs at CONAMA, and representative of São Paulo at ABEMA – Brazilian Association of State Environmental Entities.
