Willeman Advogados strengthens its public law practice
Willeman Advogados announces the arrival of Rodrigo Zambão (pictured) as a partner, a move that strengthens the firm’s public law practice and expands its capabilities in strategic litigation and advisory services.
A State Attorney for Rio de Janeiro since 2006, Zambão has held prominent positions in public administration, including that of State Attorney General, in addition to serving as an advisor to a justice of the Federal Supreme Court. A doctoral candidate in Regulatory Law at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and holder of a master’s degree in Public Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), he also engages in academic work as coordinator of the Graduate Program at the Higher School of Public Advocacy and as a visiting professor at institutions such as the School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Emerj), the National School of Magistrates (ENM), the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV Rio), the Roberto Bernardes Barroso Institute of Education of the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office (IERBB/MPRJ), and CEPED, the Center for Studies and Research in Legal Education at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
This change comes at a time of institutional reorganization at Willeman Advogados. The firm’s founder, Flávio de Araújo Willeman, has taken a leave of absence from the practice to assume the leadership of the Rio de Janeiro State Chief of Staff’s Office during the current interim administration, led by the President of the Court of Justice, Ricardo Couto de Castro. This temporary change does not affect the firm’s operations, which continue under the leadership of the other partners.
