SiqueiraCastro expands tax team with 3 partners

SiqueiraCastro Advogados has announced the simultaneous addition of three new equity partners to its tax practice in April 2026, in a move that represents the wholesale integration of an established tax team. The expansion brings the firm’s tax group to seven partners and 30 associates distributed across Brazil, significantly broadening its capacity in advisory, litigation, and strategic structuring.

Richard Edward Dotoli, Victor Schmidt Dias Corrêa, and Nathalia de Andrade Medeiros Tavares join as equity partners, accompanied by a team of seven associates. The three partners bring complementary expertise that together cover the full spectrum of tax work, from domestic advisory and contentious proceedings to international structuring and customs regulation.

Richard Edward Dotoli (partner) brings nearly 30 years of experience in tax law, with a focus on structured transactions, estate and succession planning, and real estate matters. He previously worked at SiqueiraCastro earlier in his career. Dotoli holds a PhD in Public Finance, Taxation and Development from UERJ and teaches postgraduate courses in tax law at both UERJ and FGV-RJ.

Victor Schmidt Dias Corrêa (partner) has approximately 15 years of experience in tax advisory, with a focus on direct and indirect taxes, international taxation, investment funds, corporate transactions, and asset restructuring. He holds a law degree from UFRJ, a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from IBMEC, a specialisation in Tax Accounting from FGV, an international certification as Advanced Professional in International Taxation from IBFD, and completed the Financial Analysis and Valuation for Lawyers programme at Harvard Law School. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Finance, Taxation and Development at UERJ.

Nathalia de Andrade Medeiros Tavares (partner) has more than 15 years of experience advising on tax, customs, and regulatory matters in both advisory and litigation contexts. She has worked closely with the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF), contributing to precedents that have shaped case law in higher courts. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Public Finance, Taxation and Development from UERJ, a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a further Master’s degree from UERJ. She is also an author of books and articles in tax, customs, and financial law.

The combined expertise of the three partners consolidates a full-service tax practice covering strategic advisory on direct and indirect taxes, tax and international planning including corporate reorganisations and family offices, structured transactions integrated with corporate and real estate practices, administrative and judicial tax litigation before higher courts, and customs and regulatory law with a focus on cross-border operations and global supply chains.
