Almeida Advogados hires tax partner Allan Fallet

Almeida Advogados has announced the arrival of Allan Fallet as a partner heading the firm’s tax practice. The move comes as Brazil undergoes a structural overhaul of its tax system, driven by the country’s ongoing Tax Reform and the growing internationalization of its fiscal rules.

Fallet brings more than 20 years of experience to the role and will lead the expansion and integration of the tax practice, with the goal of broadening the firm’s capacity to advise Brazilian companies, multinational groups and foreign investors on complex business decisions. According to the firm, the hire is intended to strengthen a tax practice that combines technical depth, business perspective and multidisciplinary coordination, spanning the planning and structuring of domestic and cross-border transactions, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, real estate taxation, and administrative and judicial litigation.

Fallet serves as a judge on the Tax and Fees Court of the State of São Paulo (TIT) and as a member of the Municipal Tax Council of São Paulo (CMT), bringing more than a decade of experience adjudicating administrative disputes over state and municipal taxation. He holds a master’s degree in Tax Law from PUC/SP and an LL.M. in Tax Law from FGV, and has undertaken studies in international taxation at Northwestern University and Universiteit Leiden. He also teaches in the postgraduate tax law programs at PUC-SP and FGV, as well as in the finance MBA program at IBMEC/SP.

He is the author of a book on administrative tax procedure, published in Brazil by Editora Noeses and in Spain by Editorial Olejnik, with the international edition held in the collections of institutions including the University of Oxford, Columbia Law School, New York University and George Washington University. He has also published approximately 50 articles in Brazil and abroad.
