Baker & McKenzie and Shearman & Sterling instructed on Chile mining deal
Baker & McKenzie lawyers in London and Santiago de Chile advised British hedge fund sponsor Audley Capital Advisors – part of an investor consortium – on the purchase of a stake in Anglo Norte.
The acquisition involved an initial cash payment of $300 million.
Anglo Norte – which consists of the Mantoverde and Mantos Blancos copper mines located in northern Chile – was controlled by mining giant Anglo American.
A Shearman & Sterling team based in New York and London acted for Anglo American.
