Baker & McKenzie elects Paul Rawlinson as next Chairman

Baker & McKenzie has announced that Paul Rawlinson has been elected as its next Chairman, following partnership vote.

Rawlinson is an intellectual property lawyer who joined Baker & McKenzie in 1986. He made partner in 1996 and became the managing partner at the firm’s London office in 2013.

Rawlinson will succeed Eduardo Leite, and will take up the position in October this year. He will be the first Briton to hold the post of Chairman at Baker & McKenzie.

In the announcement Rawlinson stated “I am delighted and humbled by the trust my fellow partners have placed in me. I look forward to building on the great work of Eduardo and his predecessors to continue to reinforce Baker & McKenzie’s position as the premier global law firm.”
