Basham, Ringe y Correa announced the launch of a new office in León, the largest city in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
With the new office, Basham aims to capitalise on business opportunities in El Bajío (The Lowlands), a region in West North-Central Mexico that includes parts of the states of Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guanajuato, and Querétaro. El Bajío is now considered one of the fastest-growing regions in Mexico, due to its outstanding industrial and economic development in the last 15 years. The region is also widely recognised not only for the manufacturing of footwear and leather goods, but also for the chemical industry and other sectors such as aerospace, automotive, textile, services and hospitality. León also boasts an important and diversified entrepreneurial community.
The office León will be fronted by Moises Flores Gomez who has relocated from his base in Querétaro.
Basham, which was founded in 1912, now has four offices in the country and over 100 lawyers.
