B&E advises on liability reorganisation of Inversiones Terra

Barros & Errázuriz has advised the lenders of Inversiones Terra on the judicial reorganisation of the company’s liabilities and their subsequent implementation.

This transaction was closed on 23 August, with Carey acting as advisor to CorpGroup and Asset AGF, and Boffil Mir as advisor to VivoCorp’s lenders.

The advisory involved leading the strategy and negotiations with VivoCorp’s debtor and creditors to finalise the exit of the controlling group under a corporate legal and governance structure.

Banco BTG Pactual Chile, BTG Pactual Deuda Privada Fondo de Inversión, Penta Vida Compañía de Seguros de Vida, Banco Internacional, Banco Consorcio, and Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones Provida acted as lenders in the transaction.

Inversiones Terra, now Nueva Terra post restructuring, is the parent company of VivoCorp, one of Chile’s leading shopping centre operators.

Carey’s team included partners Salvador Valdés and Ricardo Reveco, along with associates Matías Garcés, Francisco Torm and Nicolás Alejandro Fosk.
