Biaggi & Messina bolts on IP team

Dominican Republic law firm Biaggi & Messina announced the arrival of IP specialist Zaida Lugo and her team.

The firm also announced the launch of Biaggi & Messina-Lugo IP, a new IP division. 

Biaggi & Messina-Lugo IP is set to home 14 lawyers focusing on trademark, patent and copyright laws, unfair competition practices, regulatory issues and advertising law.

In the announcement, Ana Messina, founding partner of Biaggi & Messina, stated “having a professional with Zaida’s background strengthens our team and our excellent services to clients.” Speaking about the move, Lugo expressed “from this position, new challenges are presented which renew my passion for this area of law”

Biaggi & Messina, itself a product of a merger, was launched in 2000.

Zaida Lugo was formerly a partner at legacy IP boutique Angeles & Lugo Lovatón.
