Bruchou and MHR act on loan to AES Argentina
Bruchou & Funes de Rioja has advised AES Argentina Generación (AES Argentina), and Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advised a syndicate of banks, in the granting of a syndicated loan in the amount of $49,413,000,000 equivalent to USD $60,000,000,000 under Argentine law.
This transaction was closed on 29 January.
The syndicate consisted of Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires and Banco Santander Argentina, as arrangers and banks; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina), as arranger and hedging provider; and Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires, as administrative agent.
AES Argentina Generación is one of Argentina’s leading private sector power generators.
In-house counsel participating in the transaction were: Iván Durontó and Paula Capparelli for AES Argentina; Fiorella Paola Ascenso Sanabria for Banco Galicia; Cecilia Ramos for Santander Argentina; and Tomás Koch and Sonia Lannutti for ICBC Argentina.
