BVP celebrates 50 years in Brazilian legal market
BVP – Bettamio Vivone, Pace e Lucena marked 50 years of activity in the Brazilian legal market. The firm was founded in 1976 by Maria Elisabeth Bettamio Vivone, who set up her own practice at a time when female leadership in the legal profession was still uncommon, while also managing early motherhood alongside an intense professional career.
The firm initially handled a broad range of legal matters before developing a strong focus on tax law. Over time it expanded into corporate law, labor and employment law, civil litigation, family and succession law, compliance, administrative law and white-collar criminal law, evolving into a multidisciplinary practice built around close client relationships and tailored legal solutions.
BVP is currently led by partners Fábio Bettamio Vivone, Fabiana Bettamio Vivone Trauzola, Ricardo Alexandre Hidalgo Pace and Eduardo Ferrari Lucena, each of whom built their careers within the firm before reaching partnership.
BVP has also expanded its physical facilities and, following the pandemic, adopted a hybrid working model while maintaining client proximity and team integration. Looking ahead, the firm’s stated agenda includes growth in practice areas tied to ESG and advanced compliance, alongside efforts to preserve the client relationships and technical focus that have defined its history.
