Carey counsels KSL on acquisition of Tierra Hotels
Carey has counselled KSL Capital Partners, a US private equity firm, and its Australian luxury hotel platform, Baillie Lodges, on the acquisition of Tierra Hotels.
The transaction, which closed on 26 August, marks KSL Capital Partners’ first investment in Latin America, and further consolidates the growth of Baillie Lodges, which has properties in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Hudson Bankers acted as financial advisor to KSL Capital Partners. NLD Abogados acted as advisor to the Purcell and Matetic families.
Tierra Hotels is a Chilean chain with luxury hotels in Torres del Paine (Patagonia), San Pedro de Atacama and Chiloé.
Karen Piddo acted as in-house counsel for the Matetic family.
