Cescon Barrieu on senior notes guaranteed by CEMIG
Cescon Barrieu advised Cemig Geração e Transmissão on its offer to purchase for cash for up to U.S.$250,000,000 of its outstanding 9.250% senior notes due 2024, guaranteed by Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais – CEMIG.
Cemig made the offer to cancel the notes purchased in the offer and repay the outstanding indebtedness.
The offer was only the second operation of this nature made by Cemig in this decade in the international market, and nevertheless, achieved success, with the total amount of US$243,890,000 being accepted by the investors.
