Cremades, Calvo Sotelo opens in Chile

Spanish firm Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo has announced it will begin operations in Chile after reaching an agreement with Erbetta, Costa, Melo & Guzmán Abogados.

 

The Chilean outfit will operate initially as Cremades, Calvo Sotelo & ECMG. After a year it will rebrand as Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, Abogados, the Spanish law firm said in a statement.

It represents an expansion of the firm’s presence in Latin America -Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo said it already serves clients based in Bogota and Buenos Aires.

According to the firm, the stability of the Chilean economy and the rule of law – in addition to client demand – influenced the decision to open in the country.
