Cuatrecasas has represented Bancolombia in a financing for the construction of Metro Ligero in Medellín, in favour of Empresa de Transporte Masivo del Valle Aburrá

Cuatrecasas, through its team in Bogotá, has advised Bancolombia on the granting of financing to Empresa de Transporte Masivo del Valle de Aburrá, amounting to more than one billion Colombian pesos (with total commitments of more than two billion pesos), for the design, construction and start-up of the Avenida 80 Light Railway in Medellín, Colombia.

This infrastructure project will benefit more than one million people and will be 13.25 kilometres long, crossing the city from north to south. The aim of this project is to improve mobility conditions in the city and metropolitan connectivity with the Aburrá Valley. It is also a sustainable project that will use 100% electric technology and will make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the city.

Cuatrecasas’ team included partners Manuel Quinche (pictured left), Alessia Abello (pictured centre) and Juan Carlos Puentes (pictured right), associates Angie Lorena Gómez and Sara Gómez, and intern Lorenzo Lizarralde.
