Cuatrecasas counsels Cotemar on Lifting’s change of corporate control

Cuatrecasas has counselled Grupo Cotemar in obtaining authorisation from the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) for the change of corporate control of its subsidiary Servicios de Extracción Petrolera Lifting de México (Lifting), as a result of a corporate restructuring of the group.

The advice included the preparation of the documents for the transfer of Lifting’s shares, which were held by Cotemar, to Grupo Cotenergy, another subsidiary of the group, as well as the application for authorisation from the CNH to carry out the transfer.

Cuatrecasas’ advisory team was led by partner Marco Antonio de la Peña (pictured), with the collaboration of associate Elías Gallardo Palma, lawyer Jesús Alejandro Cortés Adame and trainee Francisco De Rosenzweig Migueles.
