Eroles Advogados launches insurance practice
Eroles Advogados has announced the launch of a dedicated Insurance, Reinsurance and Insurtechs practice area, broadening the São Paulo-based firm’s regulatory footprint within Brazil’s financial system. The move follows the firm’s establishment in 2024 and builds on its existing Banking and Capital Markets capabilities.
The new practice will focus on regulatory advisory work governed by the National Council of Private Insurance (CNSP) and the Private Insurance Superintendence (Susep). Services offered include regulatory consulting, contract structuring and review, authorization requests, M&A support, administrative proceedings, and legal guidance on matters at the intersection of banking and insurance.
According to founding partner Pedro Eroles, the decision to open the practice stemmed from both growing client demand and the natural synergy between the firm’s existing banking and capital markets work and the insurance sector. He noted that it is common for firms — both internationally and in Brazil — to combine banking and insurance under a single practice group, given the similar regulatory logic governing both sectors and the large number of players that offer both banking and insurance products.
