FCAR Advogados adds partner to lead M&A, Dutch Desk
FCAR Advogados has brought on Camila Borba Lefèvre as partner to lead its Corporate Law area and manage a newly created Dutch Desk. The move signals a strategic expansion of the firm’s M&A and corporate contracts practice, with a dedicated focus on Brazil-Netherlands investment flows.
Camila Borba Lefèvre joins FCAR Advogados alongside lawyers Jéssica Gatti Pizarro and Zoë Van Tongeren, who form her core team. Together, they will cover a broad range of corporate mandates, from structuring M&A and joint venture transactions to negotiating strategic contracts.
Lefèvre holds a degree in Dutch Law from Leiden University (Netherlands) and a law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), complemented by an LL.M. in European Community Law from the Collège d’Europe in Bruges (Belgium) and a specialization in Business Contracts from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP). She is a member of Dutch Business Lawyers Abroad. She previously served as co-chair of the Communications Law Committee of the International Bar Association (2015–2016).
The Netherlands ranks among the largest sources of foreign direct investment in Brazil, and FCAR’s new Dutch Desk is designed to serve both directions of that relationship. The desk will provide specialized legal advice to Dutch companies operating in or considering investment in Brazil, and will support Brazilian clients seeking to develop business in the Netherlands, working in partnership with Dutch law firms.
Lefèvre‘s dual qualification as both a Brazilian and Dutch lawyer is central to the desk’s positioning, enabling direct communication with international clients and facilitating the translation of Brazilian legal specificities for foreign investors.
