Ferrere, through its team in Paraguay, has represented Grupo Chagra which, together with Shih Jung Chang, will invest US$35 million in the construction of Frigorífico Los Lazos.
Los Lazos will be developed on approximately 14 hectares, located in the Presidente Hayes district, in the Paraguayan Chaco region, and is expected to have a capacity of around 100,000 head of cattle per year, and employ more than 350 permanent workers.
The plant is also expected to start operations from October 2024 and will be equipped to comply with Kosher and Halal standards, high quality standards to enter international markets.
The advisory role involved the structuring of the joint venture and ancillary agreements for the implementation of the project.
